Well, it’s not all about hard, it’s about smart. And, it’s not all about in your business, but, also on your business. If you’re working more than your full time workers, then, already you are out of whack. Within this time it is imperative to work a minimum of 3 hours per week “on” your business. This amount should be growing towards most of your time being on the business. These activities include creating new marketing, systems, financial analysis, team building and constructive meetings. Personal and business development skills are also part of it. There are doers and there are creators. Stop doing and create a special business that you deserve.

If you care enough about yourself, call me now on (03) 9439 5201.

That would be an ideal dream, but, it’s neither practical nor possible. Apart from the obvious logistics, the reality is, not every person is coachable. Anyone with the “I Know” mentality misses out automatically, so, that reduces the pool. However, the remaining pool is enormous. If anyone knows a business owner who would benefit from us taking them to another level, we now have gift certificates available. Check out our home page to see an amazing array of options at a very low investment in order to get someone kick-started in the right direction. Do you care enough for someone you know?

Being yourself.

Yes, being yourself. Business text books will tell you how important it is to become someone else to get greater perfomance in sales. I tend to disagree. Being false is not the best first impression.

There is a proviso, though. Being yourself also means becoming a beter yourself and continuing to express yourself in the special way that makes “YOU”. So, learning selling skills is definitely paramount in your success, however, you don’t have to become Tom Hopkins or Zig Ziglar to become great at sales. You have to use your uniqueness with the correct structure of the sales process to succeed in sales.

If you’re concerned about the effectiveness of your sales approach and you would prefer to utilise your best attribute of ”being you”, then, please call me now on 03 9439 5201 for a free business diagnostic where we can explore this. Anyone can be great at sales if they choose to be!!!

Is “getting by” good enough in today’s business world? Definitely not. The reality is, there is always someone else trying just that little bit harder than you in your industry and most of the time, there are a lot of people trying harder than you. That exposes you to a diminished opportunity to seize a great market share. So, what are the ingredients?

  • 100% focus. Multi-focus distractions are counter-productive. How good could you be if all your effort went into one thing? Imagine playing 2 sports at the exact same time, it’s impossible, right?
  • Be prepared to adjust to “x” factors. There’s always something around the corner that could be a good thing which you can seize as an opportunity or there may be something that causes you grief and your adaptability is paramount. Each year presents new “x” factors or two.
  • Keep learning. The moment you think you know it all, you’re in deep trouble. The most successful people out there are permanent learners.
  • Network continuously. People like doing business with people they see, so, don’t hide behind the desk.
  • Keep up with the online revolution. Previous decades saw off a lot of older business people because they just couldn’t keep pace with the modern technology. It’s one skill you never want to take forgranted.
  • Be happy. Who wants to deal with grumpy people. Do a lot of things in and out of your business that make you happy. Invest heavily in this and watch your business grow.
  • Mix with the right people. Don’t hang around those who won’t add value to your life.

I could go on… If you want to find out more secrets of success or to help you focus on the above, call me on (03) 9439 5201 for a free one hour consultation.

The most important thing – the truth.

Well, ever felt like you have been kidding yourself? Pretending that everything is rosy when it really isn’t. Making yourself feel good by spending on yourself, when you shouldn’t, because you can’t afford it and then regretting it.

A great business coach has the skill to cut through the b… s… and tell it like it is. This saves their clients years of wasted time and money sitting in delusional mode. The coach gets agreement that things are the way they are and puts a positive plan into action to get a grip of the situation.

If you’re ready to face the truth, contact me on 03 9439 5201 for a free one hour consultation.

When you start out? Maybe. You need to truly have a Return on Investment mentality at this stage and treat the investment like an up front loan to start up or equipment purchase. The benefits of getting a business coach at the beginning are that you will avoid the many pitfalls that business owners get themselves into in the first two years and struggle needlessly.

When you have done a few years? Definitely. You have exhausted your entrepreneurial juices and you look at your bank account and it sucks. On top of it, you are doing ridiculous hours. GET A BUSINESS COACH!!!

When you have been in business for a long time? You know that having a coach is the edge in business. Why do things the same as you always have when a business coach can inspire you to look at your business in a different way. In any case, if it’s not a commercial profitable enterprise that works without you, then, you have a JOB.

As you can see, no matter what stage of the business cycle you’re in, having a business coach is the way to go in this modern society. If you want to be up with the way business is done today, call us now on 03 9439 5201 for a free business diagnostic.

There are many ways to network, and in today’s marketplace, it can be the most effective way to build your business. First of all, the best thing to do is not to see it as work and relax. Have you ever spoken to someone who made you nervous because all they can think about is how they can sell to you? Well, you need to be aware that you are not there to waste your time, so, speaking to as many people as you can in a group function is important, but, not at the expense of rushing away from everybody. In a one on one situation that was organised it is important to really engage in active listening. People are more interested in themselves than you, so, finding out more about them, tells more about you than just rattling off what you can do. Wait patiently until the other person asks you and if they don’t, guess what, they’re not interested in doing anything for you anyway.

Anyway, the most important thing to remember is that people usually buy from people they like and not necessarily from companies. You are the product of your business. Richard Branson’s image is what people buy when they choose Virgin. It’s funky and exhilirating to be associated with his brand. What kind of brand are you portraying when you meet people?

For more skills on effective networking and personal branding, call me now on (03) 9439 5201.
